Gabrielle Seay and David Mann are both pledged delegates for Barack Obama, elected in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District. They are some of the strongest supporters of Barack Obama in the Toledo area and are founding members of Toledoans for Obama.
Gabby, as she is lovingly called, is in her fifth and final year at The University of Toledo. Gabby and David first met in her freshman year at UT when David served as the President of the College Democrats and Gabby was his VP (Mann-Seay 2024, perhaps?) Her two passions are politics and shoes, which she tries to mix on every occasion. She has pledged to stay in Denver until she has personally met Michelle Obama and taken a picture of her shoes. Though Gabby often talks of shoes and politics, her heart truly lies in service to others.
Gabby is thrilled to be sharing the Denver experience with David. Although he is only a few years older than her, he has been a constant mentor and a trustworthy friend.
David (who prefers that to Dave) is starting his first week of law school the same week as the Democratic National Convention. He can’t wait to dig into his law school studies, but as he told his professors, going to the Convention was not a tough choice. In his spare time, David reads too many books at one time, watches more trashy TV than he wants you to know, and loves his weekend vacations with his partner, Eugenio.
He’s thrilled that Gabby has followed him everywhere he’s went in his Toledo career, because she’s really a great person with the best shoes in all of Northwest Ohio.
Oh, and they work for Lucas County.

I am loving the site! I hope you guys have great content, and I am definitely you guys’ biggest fan. I am going to forward this site to everybody I know whether they like it or not! Please update daily at the convention!!
